
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
- Prepare the base:
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. - Add cold butter and rub until crumbly.
- Add egg yolks and vanilla, then knead into a smooth dough.
- Bake base:
Press dough evenly into a lined baking pan.
🔥 Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Make walnut topping:
Beat egg whites until foamy. - Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in ground walnuts, vanilla, and lemon zest.
- Assemble & bake:
Spread walnut mixture over the pre-baked base.
🔥 Return to oven and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Let cool completely, then cut into bars.
