  • 250 g all-purpose flour (plus a little extra if needed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 10–12 plums (pitted, whole or halved)
  • 10–12 sugar cubes (or 2 tsp sugar per plum)
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g breadcrumbs
  • 3–4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  4. Place a plum (and a little sugar) in the center of each square and wrap the dough around it, forming a ball.
  5. Boil salted water and cook dumplings until they float to the surface (about 5–7 minutes).
  6. In a pan, melt butter and toast breadcrumbs until golden. Add sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll the cooked dumplings in the buttery breadcrumbs until fully coated.
