Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • ½ cup sparkling water (or milk)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, for sweet version)
  • 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter

Fillings (classic options):

  • Apricot jam
  • Sweetened cocoa powder
  • Sweetened farmer’s cheese (túró)
  • Nutella

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, eggs, milk, sparkling water, salt, sugar, and oil until smooth.
  2. Let batter rest 15–20 minutes.
  3. Heat a lightly greased nonstick pan over medium heat.
  4. Pour a small ladle of batter into pan and swirl to coat thinly.
  5. Cook about 1 minute per side until lightly golden.
  6. Stack cooked pancakes on a plate.
  7. Spread with filling, roll or fold, and dust with powdered sugar.
