  1. Heat oil in a pot and sauté the chopped onion until soft.
  2. Add paprika, stir quickly, then pour in the broth.
  3. Add green peas and sliced carrot. Season with salt, pepper, and a little sugar if desired.
  4. Simmer for 15–20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. For the dumplings, mix egg, flour, and salt into a soft batter.
  6. Drop small spoonfuls into the simmering soup.
  7. Cook for another 5–7 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
