Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (24 oz) tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in well-salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and sugar if using.
  5. Simmer 15–20 minutes until thick and flavorful.
  6. Toss with spaghetti or serve sauce over pasta.
