- Cook noodles in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Fry the bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and reserve the fat if desired.
- Combine the hot noodles with butter (optional), cottage cheese, and salt. Toss gently.
- Top with sour cream and the crispy bacon pieces. Pour over some reserved bacon fat for extra flavor if you like.
- Serve hot — no baking required, just mix and enjoy!
🔄 Optional Variation:
For a baked version, combine everything in a greased dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes until bubbly.
