🥞 Stuffed Crepes (Töltött Palacsinta)

Ingredients – Crepes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1¼ cups milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil or melted butter

Ingredients – Filling (classic savory)

  • 1 cup cooked minced meat (chicken, beef, or pork)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, to taste
  • 2–3 tbsp sour cream (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, for baking)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, eggs, milk, salt, sugar, and oil until smooth.
  2. Heat a lightly oiled pan and cook thin crepes on both sides until lightly golden. Set aside.
  3. Sauté onion until soft, add minced meat, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook well.
  4. Fill each crepe with the meat mixture and roll or fold.
  5. (Optional baked version) Place filled crepes in a baking dish, top with sour cream and cheese.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15–20 minutes until heated through and lightly golden.
  7. Serve warm.

Sweet Filling Option

  • Sweetened cottage cheese or ricotta
  • Jam, Nutella, or sweetened walnuts
