Shrimp Scampi Bake 🍤🧄

A simple oven-baked version of classic shrimp scampi—juicy shrimp in a garlicky butter sauce, finished with lemon and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1½ lb (700 g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • Optional: ¼ cup grated Parmesan or breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Make Sauce
    In a bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Assemble
    Arrange shrimp in the baking dish. Pour sauce evenly over shrimp. Sprinkle Parmesan or breadcrumbs if using.
  4. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  5. Finish & Serve
    Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

💡 Tip: Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for a lightly golden top.
