
🇭🇺 Palacsinta – Hungarian Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- ¼ cup sparkling water (optional, for extra light texture)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sugar (for sweet version)
- 1 tbsp oil or melted butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, sparkling water, salt, and sugar until smooth.
- Stir in oil or melted butter. Let batter rest 15–20 minutes.
- Heat a lightly oiled non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Pour a small amount of batter into the pan and swirl to coat thinly.
- Cook about 1 minute, flip, and cook another 30 seconds.
- Repeat with remaining batter.

- Sweetened cocoa powder
- Nutella
- Sweetened cottage cheese
- Fresh fruit
Roll or fold and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
