  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz / 300g)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with chopped onions in a skillet, drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, then half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.
  7. Pour the sour cream mixture evenly over the top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
