Instructions
1. Make the dough:
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Add milk and oil gradually and knead until a soft, smooth dough forms.
2. Shape the bread:
- Divide dough into portions (or keep whole for a big loaf).
- Flatten slightly to form rounds or ovals.
3. Cook on stovetop:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over low-medium heat.
- Place dough pieces in the pan and cover with a lid.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 8–10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Serve:
- Let cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!
- Great with butter, jam, or for sandwiches.
This bread is perfect if you don’t have an oven—it’s soft, fluffy, and surprisingly easy.
I can also give a super-fast version using just 2 ingredients (flour + yogurt) that cooks entirely on the stovetop in 15 minutes. Do you want that version too?
