Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add yeast mixture and oil. Knead into a soft dough.
  4. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Divide dough into pieces and shape into flat rounds with slightly thicker edges.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  7. Fry each lángos for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Mix crushed garlic with water and brush over hot lángos.
  9. Top with sour cream and grated cheese.
