Instructions

  1. Mix flour, butter, cream cheese (or sour cream), egg yolks, and salt into a soft dough.
  2. Wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
  3. Roll out dough thinly on a floured surface.
  4. Cut into squares or triangles.
  5. Add a small spoon of filling in the center or on one side.
  6. Roll or fold into crescent (kiffle/kifli) shapes.
  7. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.
