
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until soft, peel and mash.
- Let cool slightly, then mix with egg, flour, butter, and salt to form a soft dough.
- Shape the dough into small balls (dumplings).
- Drop dumplings into boiling salted water and cook 4–5 minutes until they float.
- In a pan melt butter and toast breadcrumbs until golden.
- Roll the cooked dumplings in the toasted breadcrumbs and serve warm.
