Hungarian Palacsinta (Crepes)


Instructions:

  1. Make the batter:
    • In a bowl, whisk flour, eggs, milk, water, salt, and sugar (if using).
    • Mix until smooth and lump-free.
    • Stir in 1 tbsp oil.
  2. Rest the batter:
    • Let it rest for 15–20 minutes (this makes the crepes softer).
  3. Cook the crepes:
    • Heat a lightly oiled non-stick pan over medium heat.
    • Pour a small amount of batter and swirl to coat the pan thinly.
    • Cook for about 1 minute, then flip and cook another 30 seconds.
  4. Stack:
    • Stack cooked crepes on a plate and keep covered to stay soft.
  5. Fill and serve:
    • Spread with your favorite filling, roll or fold, and enjoy.
