
Ingredients
- 500 g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- 1½ tsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 200 ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)
- 1–2 tbsp water or mushroom stock
Instructions
- Heat oil/butter in a pan. Sauté onion until soft and lightly golden.
- Remove from heat, stir in paprika.
- Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper. Cook until mushrooms release their juices.
- Simmer 10–15 minutes until tender.
- Mix sour cream with flour (if using), stir into mushrooms.
- Add water/stock if needed and simmer 5 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
