Hungarian Fried Dough – Lángos


Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let stand 5–10 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix into a soft dough.
  3. Knead until smooth, then cover and let rise 1 hour.
  4. Divide dough into balls and flatten into rounds.
  5. Heat oil and fry each dough round until golden on both sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Top with garlic, sour cream, and cheese while warm.
