
Instructions:
- Activate the yeast:
- Mix warm milk, yeast, and a little sugar.
- Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Make the dough:
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add eggs, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
- Knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
- First rise:
- Cover and let dough rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough:
- Roll out dough and cut into long strips.
- Wrap strips around a lightly greased cylindrical mold (wooden rolling pin or chimney cake form), slightly overlapping.
- Coat:
- Brush with melted butter.
- Roll in sugar until fully coated.
- Bake:
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Place on a baking tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, rotating occasionally, until golden and caramelized.
- Finish:
- While still hot, roll in your favorite toppings (cinnamon sugar, nuts, coconut, etc.).
