
🍲 Ground Beef and Potato Stew
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup tomato sauce or diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup frozen peas or carrots (optional)
Instructions
- Heat oil or butter in a pot over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
- Stir in potatoes, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 25–30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Add peas or carrots if using and simmer 5 more minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
