🍲 Ground Beef and Potato Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas or carrots (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil or butter in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in potatoes, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in beef broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 25–30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  7. Add peas or carrots if using and simmer 5 more minutes.
  8. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
