Cottage Cheese Noodles (Túrós Csusza)

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340 g) wide egg noodles
  • 2 cups cottage cheese (dry curd or well-drained)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: crispy bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in salted water until tender; drain.
  2. Toss hot noodles with butter.
  3. Add cottage cheese and sour cream; mix gently.
  4. Season with salt.
  5. Top with bacon if using and serve warm.
