Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying (or air-frying)

Instructions

  1. Cook the filling
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add beef, season with salt and pepper, cook quickly until browned. Remove.
    • In same pan, sauté onion and bell pepper until soft.
    • Add garlic, cook 30 seconds.
    • Return beef to pan, mix well. Let cool slightly.
  2. Assemble
    • Place an egg roll wrapper like a diamond.
    • Add 2–3 tbsp beef mixture and sprinkle cheese on top.
    • Fold bottom corner up, fold sides in, roll tightly. Seal edge with water.
  3. Cook
    • Fry: 350°F / 175°C for 3–4 minutes until golden.
    • Air Fry: 190°C / 375°F for 8–10 minutes, turning once.
  4. Serve
    • Drain on paper towels.
    • Serve hot with cheese sauce or garlic mayo.
