
😋🤤 Best Ever Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 2 lb beef chuck, cut into chunks
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 3 potatoes, cubed
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Season beef with salt, pepper, and flour.
- Heat oil in a large pot and brown beef in batches. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add carrots and celery; cook 2 minutes.
- Return beef to the pot. Stir in tomato paste, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf.
- Add broth and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 1½–2 hours until beef is tender.
- Add potatoes and simmer 25–30 minutes more.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
