Classic Baked Potato 🥔

Ingredients (Serves 1–2)

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, or butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare potatoes:
    Wash and scrub potatoes. Pat dry. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  3. Season:
    Rub potatoes with olive oil or butter and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Bake:
    Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake 45–60 minutes, until skins are crispy and a fork easily pierces the potato.
  5. Serve:
    Slice open and fluff the inside with a fork. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
