Baked Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the Lobster Tails:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen scissors, cut down the top of each lobster shell lengthwise to the tail.
  3. Gently loosen the meat from the shell, lift it up, and rest it on top of the shell for a beautiful presentation (this is called “butterflying”).
  4. Pat the lobster meat dry with paper towels.

2. Make the Garlic Butter:

In a small bowl, mix together:

  • Melted butter
  • Minced garlic
  • Lemon juice
  • Lemon zest
  • Paprika
  • Salt and pepper

Brush half of the mixture generously over the lobster meat.

3. Bake:

  1. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  2. Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on the size, until the meat is opaque and slightly firm to the touch.
  3. Brush with the remaining garlic butter halfway through baking.

(Tip: For an extra golden top, broil the tails for the last 1–2 minutes — but watch closely so they don’t overcook.)

4. Serve:

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
  • Serve with extra melted butter for dipping.

❤️ Tips for Perfect Lobster:

  • Don’t overbake! Lobster turns tough quickly — it’s done when opaque and slightly springy.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or crushed red pepper for a little heat.
  • Pair with garlic mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, or buttery rice.

Would you like me to include a grilled version of this recipe too? It gives a smoky, caramelized flavor that’s amazing in summer.
