Ingredients

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

Apple Filling

  • 2 apples, peeled & diced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter

Almond Filling

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Topping

  • Sliced almonds
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar or glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Apple filling
    • Cook apples with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until soft. Cool.
  2. Almond cream
    • Mix almond flour, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Assemble
    • Roll puff pastry and cut into squares.
    • Spread almond cream in center, top with apples.
    • Fold corners or edges to shape.
  4. Bake
    • Brush with egg wash.
    • Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
    • Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  5. Finish
    • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle glaze.
