
Ingredients:
- 2–3 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3–4 bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
- 3–4 ripe tomatoes, chopped (or 1 can chopped tomatoes)
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 small chili pepper (optional)
- 100–150 ml water (optional, if needed)
Optional additions:
- 2–3 eggs (for egg version)
- 200 g smoked sausage (for meat version)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until soft.
- Add sliced peppers and cook for 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in paprika quickly (do not burn it).
- Add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 15–20 minutes until vegetables are soft and sauce is slightly thick.
- Optional: add sausage slices early and cook with vegetables, or crack in eggs at the end and stir gently.
