🇭🇺 Hungarian Cottage Cheese Pasta (Túrós Csusza)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 300 g pasta (wide noodles or small squares)
  • 250 g cottage cheese (or farmer’s cheese)
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 100 g bacon (diced, optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • Salt (to taste)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta:
    Boil pasta in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.

  1. Cook bacon (optional):
    In a pan, fry diced bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the fat.

  1. Combine:
    In the same pan, add butter if needed, then toss in the cooked pasta.
  2. Add cottage cheese and mix gently.

Season with salt to taste.

Finish:
Stir in sour cream and cooked bacon (if using).
