Hungarian Coconut Lamingtons (Kókuszkocka)

Ingredients

Cake

  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate coating

  • 200 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g butter

For coating

  • 200 g shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  2. Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add milk, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Mix flour with baking powder and add to the batter.
  5. Pour into a baking pan and bake 25–30 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool, then cut into squares.
  7. Heat milk, butter, sugar, and cocoa until smooth.
  8. Dip each cake cube into the chocolate mixture.
  9. Roll immediately in shredded coconut.
  10. Let set before serving.
