  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Add butter and eggs and knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Divide dough into two parts.
  5. Roll out the first half and place in a greased baking pan.
  6. Spread the jam evenly on top.
  7. Roll out the second half of dough and place over the jam.
  8. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar, then cut into squares.
