🇭🇺 Palacsinta – Hungarian Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • ¼ cup sparkling water (optional, for extra light texture)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp sugar (for sweet version)
  • 1 tbsp oil or melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, sparkling water, salt, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Stir in oil or melted butter. Let batter rest 15–20 minutes.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Pour a small amount of batter into the pan and swirl to coat thinly.
  5. Cook about 1 minute, flip, and cook another 30 seconds.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter.

  • Sweetened cottage cheese
