
Ingredients:
- 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 150 g (3/4 cup) sugar
- 125 g (1/2 cup) butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 4–5 medium apples, peeled and grated
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 23×33 cm (9×13 in) baking pan.
- In a bowl, cream butter with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients to form dough.
- Press half the dough into the prepared pan.
- Mix grated apples with cinnamon and spread evenly over dough.
- Crumble or press remaining dough on top of apples.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly; dust with powdered sugar before serving.
