Ingredients
Dough
- 250 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 200 g (1 cup) sour cream
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- Pinch of salt
Filling (choose one)
Walnut filling
- 1 cup finely ground walnuts
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1–2 tbsp milk
OR Jam filling
- Thick apricot or raspberry jam
For coating
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Make the dough
Mix butter, sour cream, vanilla, and salt.
Add flour gradually until soft dough forms.
Chill 1 hour. - Prepare filling
Mix walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and milk to a spreadable paste. - Shape kiffles
Roll dough thin. Cut into triangles.
Add filling or jam at wide end and roll into crescents. - Bake
180°C / 350°F for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden. - Finish
Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.

- Use very thin dough for the flakiest texture
- Do not overfill
