Chocolate Cream Layered Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 oz dark or milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup whipped cream or heavy cream (whipped)
  • Chocolate cookies or biscuits, crushed (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk milk, cornstarch, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat; add chocolate and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  4. In glasses, layer pudding, whipped cream, and crushed cookies if using.
  5. Repeat layers. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
