Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp 🍤🍋🧈
A quick, zesty, and buttery shrimp dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for extra flavor)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Prepare the shrimp:
- Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook the shrimp:
- Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter.
- Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and zest.
- Combine and serve:
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
💡 Tips:
- Don’t overcook the shrimp—they cook very quickly and become rubbery if overdone.
- Serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the buttery sauce.
I can also create a 5-minute sheet-pan version or a creamy garlic lemon version if you want a twist. Do you want me to do that?
