Ingredients

Chocolate Sponge Cake

  • 4 large eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Peanut Butter Filling

  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a jelly-roll pan with parchment.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
    Add oil, milk, and vanilla.
  3. Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently into batter.
  4. Spread evenly in pan and bake 10–12 minutes.
  5. While hot, roll cake (with parchment) and let cool.
  6. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Unroll cake, spread filling evenly, then roll again tightly.
  8. Heat cream and pour over chocolate chips. Stir smooth.
  9. Pour chocolate coating over roll cake.
  10. Chill 30 minutes before slicing.
