🛒 Ingredients

Filling

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2–3 medium, cooked & peeled)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt

Crust

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep Sweet Potatoes
    • Boil or bake sweet potatoes until very tender.
    • Peel and mash until smooth (no lumps).
  2. Make the Filling
    • In a large bowl, mix sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, and eggs.
    • Add evaporated milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
    • Mix until creamy and smooth.
  3. Assemble
    • Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust.
    • Smooth the top.
  4. Bake
    • Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 50–60 minutes,
      until the center is set and a knife comes out clean.
  5. Cool
    • Let cool completely to fully set before slicing.
