🍽️ Old-Fashioned Meatloaf
🛒 Ingredients
Meatloaf
- 1½ lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Classic Topping
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment. - Mix gently
In a large bowl, combine milk and breadcrumbs.
Add eggs, onion, seasoning, Worcestershire, and ground beef.
Mix just until combined—don’t overmix. - Shape
Place mixture into loaf pan or shape into a loaf on a baking sheet. - Add topping
Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
Spread evenly over meatloaf. - Bake
Bake uncovered for 60–70 minutes, until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C). - Rest
Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
