  1. Prep
    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Make the Cake Batter
    In a saucepan, melt butter with cocoa and water. Bring just to a boil, then remove from heat.

    Fold in flour and salt. Stir in nuts if using.
  3. Bake
    Pour batter into pan.
