
🍞 1 kg Homemade Bread (Soft Inside, Crispy Crust)
Ingredients
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1½ tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp instant yeast (or 25 g fresh yeast)
- 600–650 ml warm water
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead 10–12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
- Punch down dough and shape into a large loaf (or divide into 2 loaves).
- Place in a greased pan or on a baking tray.
- Cover and let rise again 30–40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 200°C / 390°F.
- Bake 35–45 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding when tapped.
- Brush with butter or water for a soft crust. Cool before slicing.
