🍞 Moist Seed-Topped Loaf Bread

Ingredients

  • 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1¼ cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Seed Topping

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax or chia seeds

For Brushing

  • 1 tbsp water or milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Shape dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Brush top lightly with water or milk and sprinkle seeds generously.
  7. Cover and let rise 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding.
  9. Cool before slicing.
