- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp vinegar)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan.
- Melt butter and brown sugar together; pour into the pan. Arrange pecans evenly on top.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
- Pour batter gently over pecans.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
