
Bacon-Wrapped Crispy Potatoes 🥓🥔
Ingredients
- 1 kg (2 lb) small potatoes
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (smoked if possible)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
- 250 g (½ lb) bacon slices, cut in half
- Optional: grated Parmesan, dried herbs (thyme or rosemary)
Instructions
- Prep the potatoes
Wash potatoes and cut them into thick wedges.
Parboil in salted water for 8–10 minutes until just tender. Drain well. - Season
Place potatoes in a bowl. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to coat. - Wrap
Wrap each potato piece with a strip of bacon and place seam-side down on a baking tray. - Bake
Bake at 200°C / 400°F for 30–40 minutes, turning once, until bacon is crispy and potatoes are golden. - Optional finish
Sprinkle with Parmesan or herbs in the last 5 minutes.
Tips
- Use thin bacon for extra crispiness.
- For extra crunch, broil 2–3 minutes at the end.
- Serve with sour cream, garlic sauce, or spicy ketchup.
