🧀 Pogácsa (Hungarian Cheese Biscuits)

Ingredients:

  • 3 ½ cups (450 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (7 g) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) sour cream
  • 1 egg (for the dough)
  • 1 egg yolk (for brushing)
  • 1 ½ cups (150 g) finely grated cheese (Trappista, cheddar, or Gruyère work well)

Optional for extra flavor: ½ tsp caraway seeds or 1 tsp paprika in the dough.
