
👩🍳 Instructions:
- (Optional) Sear the Chicken:
For extra flavor, lightly season the chicken with salt and pepper and sear it in a skillet with a bit of olive oil or butter until golden on both sides. Totally optional, but adds great flavor. - Add to Slow Cooker:
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. - Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, chicken broth, and mushrooms. Pour over the chicken. - Cook:
- On LOW for 6–7 hours
- Or on HIGH for 3–4 hours
(Until chicken is tender and cooked through)
- Finish with Sour Cream:
Stir in the sour cream during the last 15–20 minutes of cooking for a rich, creamy finish. - Serve:
Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the chicken and serve with:- Mashed potatoes
- Rice
- Egg noodles
- Or even over toasted bread
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
💡 Tips:
- Add a handful of spinach or peas at the end for color and veggies.
- Can also use cream of chicken or cream of celery for a twist.
- Leftovers are amazing the next day!
