1. Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix:
- Flour
- Sugar
- Salt
- Yeast
(and milk powder if using)
Add:
- Warm milk
- Egg
- Melted butter
Mix and knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
(The dough should be soft, slightly sticky—but not wet.)
If too sticky: add 1–2 tbsp flour
If too dry: add 1–2 tbsp milk
2. First Rise
Place dough in an oiled bowl.
Cover and let rise until doubled in size (1–1.5 hours).
3. Shape
Punch down and divide dough into:
- 8 rolls, or
- 1 loaf
Shape smoothly and place in a greased baking pan.
4. Second Rise
Let rise again 30–45 minutes until puffy.
5. Bake
Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20–25 minutes
(Loaf: 28–30 min)
6. Finish
Brush tops with melted butter or milk right out of the oven for softness and shine.
