🍑 Szilva Lekváros Papucs – Hungarian Plum Jam Pastry 🇭🇺

Soft, buttery pastry filled with sweet plum jam — easy to make and absolutely delicious! Perfect for breakfast, coffee time, or dessert. 😍


Ingredients:

  • 30 dkg (300 g) flour
  • 1 dl milk
  • 1 dkg yeast
  • 1 whole egg
  • 12 dkg (120 g) butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 6 dkg (60 g) powdered sugar
  • Plum jam (as filling)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Crumble the yeast into the flour.
2️⃣ Slightly melt the butter and combine with the rest of the ingredients. Knead into a soft dough.
3️⃣ Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
4️⃣ Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
5️⃣ Place a spoonful of plum jam diagonally in each square, fold the edges over, and seal.
6️⃣ Brush with beaten egg.
7️⃣ Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20 minutes until golden.
