🌮 Tico Taco Cupcakes Recipe

🔥 Instructions:

1. Cook the Beef Filling

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Add taco seasoning and water, stir well.
  • Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  • Remove from heat.

2. Assemble the Cupcakes

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray a standard muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Place one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, pressing it down gently to form a shell.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of taco beef into each cup.
  • Sprinkle a bit of shredded cheese on top.
  • Optional: Add another wonton wrapper on top for a “double layer” and repeat meat + cheese.

3. Bake

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges of the wontons are crispy and golden brown and the cheese is melted.

4. Top and Serve

  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Add your favorite taco toppings: sour cream, lettuce, tomato, olives, jalapeños, etc.
  • Serve warm!

🎉 Tips:

  • For extra crunch, brush wonton wrappers lightly with oil before baking.
  • Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian version.
  • Great for parties, potlucks, or kid-friendly dinners!
