👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the dough

  • In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
  • Add eggs and start mixing.
  • Gradually add water until you get a soft, sticky dough (thicker than pancake batter but looser than bread dough).

2. Boil water

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

3. Form the dumplings

  • Use a spaetzle maker, colander, or spoon to drop small pieces of dough into the boiling water.

4. Cook

  • Once the dumplings float to the top, cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon.

5. Finish

  • Toss with a little butter or oil to prevent sticking.
