👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Bake puff pastry sheets at 200°C (390°F) for 15–20 minutes until golden. Let cool.
  2. Heat milk. In a bowl mix egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla.
  3. Slowly add hot milk, then cook on low heat until thick.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in butter.
  5. Place one pastry sheet in tray.
  6. Spread custard evenly.
  7. Cover with second pastry sheet.
  8. Chill 4–6 hours or overnight.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
