👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Activate yeast:
    Mix yeast with lukewarm milk and a little sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Prepare dough:
    In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter, egg yolks, and yeast mixture. Knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Divide dough into 3 equal parts.

  1. Assemble layers:
    Roll out the first portion and place it in a greased baking pan.
  2. Spread half of the apricot jam, then sprinkle with half of the walnut-sugar mixture.
  3. Add the second dough layer and repeat the filling.
  4. Place the final dough layer on top.

  1. Rest:
    Let the assembled cake rest for 30–40 minutes. Prick the top with a fork.

🔥 Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes until lightly golden

  1. Chocolate topping:
    Melt chocolate with butter or oil and spread over the cooled cake.
  2. Let it set completely, then slice into squares.
